1. Overview
This policy explains what information Zion Rolling Co collects through this website, and how it is used. Checkout and payment processing are not live yet, so we do not collect or store any payment information. We do collect a few other things directly, described below: order requests you choose to submit, and anonymous site analytics.
2. Information we collect today
Age verification. When you confirm you are 21 or older, that confirmation is stored only in your own browser's local storage. It is not sent to us or stored on our servers.
Cart contents. Items you add to your cart are stored only in your browser's local storage. We do not see or store your cart on our servers.
Order requests. If you submit a "Request to Order" form, we collect the name, email, phone number (if provided), shipping address, and any notes you include, along with the items and price you requested. We store this so we can follow up with you directly to confirm your order and arrange payment. No payment information is collected through this form.
Anonymous site analytics. We track anonymous page visits to understand how the site is used, which pages are viewed and when. Each visitor is assigned a random, anonymous ID stored in your browser, not tied to your name, email, or any account, so we can count unique visitors. We do not collect IP addresses, device fingerprints, or any analytics beyond a page and a timestamp.
Standard server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs standard technical information for every website, such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested. We use this only for security and reliability, not for marketing.
3. Information we will collect once checkout launches
When checkout becomes available, placing an order will require payment details, processed directly by [PAYMENT PROCESSOR]; we do not store full card numbers on our own systems. The other order information described above (name, shipping address, and so on) will simply become part of a completed order rather than a manual follow-up. This section will be expanded with full detail before checkout goes live.
4. How we use information
Any information we collect is used only to operate this site, fulfill orders once checkout is live, and respond to questions you send us. We do not sell personal information to third parties.
5. Cookies and local storage
This site uses your browser's local storage, not cookies, for three things. Age verification and cart contents stay entirely on your device and are never sent to us. A random anonymous ID used only to count site visitors is sent to us along with the page you viewed, but never with your name or any other information.
6. Third-party services
This site is hosted on Vercel. Its product catalog, order requests, and anonymous analytics are stored in Supabase. If you submit an order request, that information (name, email, phone, shipping address) is stored in Supabase so we can follow up with you. Anonymous analytics data contains no personal information, just a random ID, a page, and a timestamp.
7. Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any order request information you've submitted by contacting [CONTACT EMAIL]. Once accounts and checkout exist, this will extend to that information as well.
8. Age restriction
This site is intended for visitors 21 and older and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21.
9. Changes to this policy
We will update this page as our data practices change, particularly once checkout and accounts launch. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
